Company news email template

A milestone, hire or change worth telling people about.

A company news email should answer what happened, what it changes for the reader, and what happens next. News with no consequence for the recipient does not need an email, and sending it anyway trains people to ignore you.

Questions

Should I email customers about funding or awards?

Only if it changes something for them, such as support hours or roadmap. Otherwise it is a press release in an inbox.

How do I announce a price change?

Early, with the reason, the exact date and what existing customers keep. Never bury it inside other news.

Who should it come from?

A named person, not the company. Replies to a person get read.
